What is now Real Kids Shades was founded in 2002 when we couldn’t find decent sunglasses for our own kids. It’s a pretty simple idea: make kids’ shades that provide 100% UV protection, and that are comfortable, good-looking, durable, and affordable so they’ll be used.
Sun Protection: All Real Kids Shades provide 100% protection from UVA and UVB rays. Wrap-around frames minimize exposure to peripheral light.
Comfort: Real Kids Shades are comfortable, many with adjustable neoprene bands to keep them on kids’ heads, where they belong.
Durability: RKS lenses and frames are made from shatterproof polycarbonate. They’ll be outgrown before they’re broken.
Safety: Always lead-free, with no bisphenol-A and no phthalates.
Many RKS styles can be fitted with prescription lenses. Real Kids Shades have been approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and comply with all European product, safety, health, and environmental requirements. These are real sunglasses that do the same job as quality shades made for adults. After all, do kids deserve any less?
