Wood has long been used as a material for children’s toys. In days gone by, wooden blocks, dolls, and building sets were common sights in playrooms and playgrounds across the world, before being replaced by the more familiar plastic toys we see so much of today. Luckily for us and the environment, wooden toys are gaining popularity again these days, thanks to their aesthetic appeal and durability. Many of these toys also encourage creativity. Kinderbuilt is a family-owned company that specializes in high-quality wooden toys.

Designing a room that fully reflects the child who inhabits it requires vision and resources. There are so many choices and decisions to be made that it can become a daunting task. Furniture, bedding, wall art, toy storage and more are some of the components that will need to be selected. Companies that offer a range styles, colors, themes and designs make finding the perfect pieces and accents that much easier and can quickly turn a blank space into a room that appeals to both parent and child. Lazzari, Swankie Blankie, Nurseryworks and Studio Arts provide lots of options in toy storage, bedding, furniture and wall art that help turn a child’s room into a one-of-a-kind sanctuary.

If you can run a marathon you understand owning a business.

A few years ago I was responsible for a team of sales people to help them grow
their businesses and I went to a training to better my ability with developing
a strong sales force. There the leader of the class said, “If you can run a
marathon you understand what it is like to be in sales.” Well prior to that
position I had never done sales nor had I run a marathon so I took her advice
literally and now 5 years later I recently completed my 5th marathon.

In 2003, two enterprising women created an interior design firm with the goal to successfully combine the ideals of modernism with comfort and livability. Then, in 2010 they launched SPI Baby, a kid’s furniture and accessories line based on the same principle. Think of modern design that is highly sophisticated and lots of fun. This is furniture that is designed to play many different roles so that the buyer is investing in pieces that will be kept for years and reused as the family expands.
