Looking into the trusting eyes of a baby, it’s hard to imagine anything more pure. Parents today are looking for the best, most wholesome products for their precious new addition, and that includes toys! With more and more mainstream toys being recalled for toxic paints or harmful components, many parents are turning to the basics to keep their children safe and happy. What better way do parents have to protect and stimulate their children than to consider the tactile delight of pure, organically inspired plush toys? The Giggle Guide® looks at four companies that meet these needs: Apple Park, miYim. Sigikid, and Simply Fido.

We have had the very best experience with Larry Birkhead, the father of Dannielyn Birkhead who’s mother is the late Anna Nicole Smith. Larry has seen his share of hard times. The loss of the mother of his child, having to fight to get custody of the daughter that is rightfully his and now raising that little girl all on his own. He has triumphed over every obstacle valiantly and with the class of a man twice his age. We just love the way he dotes on little Dannielyn and the level headedness with which he brings to their relationship.

Here at No Slippy Hair Clippy, we have always held a soft spot in our hearts for Dancing with the Stars beauty, Samantha Harris. Along with being wonderfully talented, she has always been so considerate and down to earth, despite her many successes. She is a long time lover of No Slippy Hair Clippy products for her daughter, Josselyn Sydney, and has on more than one occasion sent personal hand written letters to thank us for them. She sent this most recent letter in August of this year:

New restrictions from the CPSC passed last year with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act have caused confusion and controversy in the children’s industry. While many agree and gladly comply with stricter lead and testing requirements, the broad language in the legislation could put small operations in a tight spot.

Recently CPSIA has turned its attention to resellers in the children’s industry including consignment stores and garage sales.

The new Baby Couture magazine arrived in today’s mail. (If you’ve never seen it - get a copy and you’ll understand why I love it so much. It’s like “Vogue” for kids!) Once again, they’ve featured BopStarBaby exclusive participants, and we are thrilled!
The Dropper Stopper™ (www.dropperstopper.com), one of the newest products in our collection, wraps around the bottom of a photo spread entitled “Bite Me.” It’s a bright, fun adjustable strap that can attach baby accessories to a stroller or carrier, and this is its debut in Baby Couture.

One new brand generating a lot of buzz in the marketplace is Tangerine Sky, the creation of Jeff Dodge and his parents John and Judy Dodge. The new collection addresses what the Dodges see as an unmet need in the marketplace — fashionable yet age appropriate apparel for girls and their parents who are more discriminating than ever in their shopping habits. “Our research found that girls are developing a sense of style at a very early age,” said Jeff Dodge, Director of Sales and the new dad of a little girl.

sometimes feel like I come on this blog and complain about all the computer issues I have, but OMG I have them. I have had two viruses within the last two weeks, in which I’ve been late meeting deadlines. I’m afraid to even mention to clients just because I don’t want them to think I’m a flaky artist, and I’m not. I usually get comments on how fast i turn things around. But let me tell you when you live in Texas and it rains for SEVEN days straight, and I mean flooding rain, and your computer is WIFi…you are bound to have issues.

Hospital Room Crafts was born after a daughter’s 9-year long battle with Leukemia. After spending years in bleak and drab hospital rooms, Monica Lyman wanted to brighten things up. These beautifully designed crafts entertain and delight. Kids are not meant to be cooped up, let alone confined to a hospital bed. These wonderful crafts come in ready-made kits and let kids be kids, even if mobility is restricted!

Lately we’ve been trying to create new ways to have our designs on colored clothes instead of just our traditional white garments. We’ve been experimenting for a couple weeks now and we might have finally reached the final result!
