A summer day at the beach, a winter day at a natural hot spring, an outing to the local pool, or an evening soak in the bathtub at home; no matter what kind of water experience kids are having, there is one essential they can’t be without… a towel of course! With so many fun options available in the marketplace, today’s parents can set aside the standard sheet towels and shower their kids with the warmth and excitement of some amazing hooded towel creations!

Dirty knees, soiled hands, smudgy noses, and ears you could grow potatoes in — just a few of the many reasons to make a child’s bath time a daily habit. There isn’t a parent on the planet that can avoid its necessity, and there isn’t a child that doesn’t benefit from its soothing properties. Starting from birth, the sound of warm water running into a bathtub is a ritual that wiggly babies and splashy toddlers learn to love; and whether the bath is filled with bouncy bubbles, calming essential oils, or just plain old H2O, all children want to add fun to bath time!

Children's Club - New York, New York (10/4/09 - 10/6/09)

New York, NY (October 7, 2009) – The Children’s Club wrapped its three-day run at the Javits Center in New York City, from October 4-6, 2009. The exhibit was an amazing expression of the upcoming Spring/Summer 2010 season and provides an outstanding medium for vendors and retailers alike to meet.

There is nothing more delicate than a baby’s skin. Unfortunately, many commercial bath and body products marketed as “hypoallergenic” can still cause irritation and rashes. Today’s parents are also concerned about possibly harmful ingredients that are often present in non-organic bath and body products. The Giggle Guide™ takes these concerns into consideration and spotlights some wonderful baby products, made with organic and all-natural ingredients, from Nature’s Baby Organics, Kiss My Face, Earth Mama Angel Baby and Giggle Baby Organic Skin Care.

Just as bad can mean “good,” and hot mean “cool,” the same formula holds true for Icky Products, as this brand connotes cute, comfortable, and clever children’s products. A mess of great stuff for babies and toddlers! Kate Somerset, the founder of Icky Products, may have first been inspired to produce products that helped with the “icky” aspects of child rearing, but over the years the brand has grown to be known for its quality, craftsmanship, clean designs and class. Kate shares with The Giggle Guide® how Icky started and what Icky means today.

This year at the Atlanta Women’s & Children’s Apparel & Accessories Market, retailers can look forward to great new products and new showrooms in the Children’s World section. Companies searching for some high quality children’s products should really attend the show to view everything that is available. Here is a review of the three of the latest additions: The Carolina Baby Company, Moo Boo’s and Bebop Baby Shop.

Millions of products were recalled due to safety issues in the past year. Some of these recalled products had high contents of lead; others were choking or burning hazards and most were manufactured outside of the United States. Many people have lost jobs because the cheaper prices overseas closing US based manufacturing plants. Combine the job losses with the number of products manufactured outside of the United States being recalled, and you have a recipe for consumers who are more inclined to purchase products from companies who manufacture their products within the United States.

The new 2010 Spring/Summer collections are out, and here at the The Giggle Guide® we’ve fallen head over heels for many of the new products introduced at the latest ENK International Children’s Club! The show floor overflowed with delightful contributions from innovative companies like 3 Sprouts, Moo Boo, and cachcach to name just a few. We’d like to share our enthusiasm by offering the following photos, straight from New York, for your viewing pleasure.

Melissa Lopez, owner of Little Peanut Boutique in Costa Mesa, California, loves kids, moms and sharing her children’s product discoveries with everyone. Her enthusiasm and passion for her new business is infectious. Her innovative approach to sales and customer referrals is motivational, and a bit of genius, as she puts the incredible marketing power of moms’ word-of-mouth and celebrity contacts to work for her. Everyone wins and has fun in this “oooh and aaaahhh” children’s world designed for… little peanuts!

Taking bedtime by the hand is a company called The Incredibeds, started by father and visionary Jeremy Maloney, who believed that bedtime didn’t have to remain something for kids to balk at. Tired of looking all over the house for his son’s favorite stuffed animals, in an effort to make sleeping more appealing, he imagined what it would be like for parents if the comforting presence of a stuffed friend was impossible to lose! Thus, Incredibeds was launched, and a new, appealing way of settling kids into bed was born.
