Cure-Couture Gowns for the Best-Dressed Patients

Cure-Couture was the design idea of the late Linda Segal. Linda was a successful women’s fashion designer for more than 25 years. In 2007, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and required chemotherapy treatments. It was Linda’s experiences in the chemo center at the hospital that gave her the inspiration to design Cure-Couture: fashionable, yet functional patient gowns. Linda sadly lost her battle with breast cancer in 2009, but her idea lives on through her daughter Ashley Segal, and her design protégé, Linsay Alvarado.

Ashley and Linsay describe their business venture as making a giant pitcher of lemonade from the lemons they were given. These patient gowns are for women who want to show their individuality while channeling their inner diva. Whether a woman is going through chemotherapy, plastic surgery or the jubilant experience of childbirth, these gowns will show everyone that she is a woman of style. Cure-Couture gowns are alternatives to the drab, ill-fitting, standard issue hospital garbs with a split right up the back, leaving women exposed, uncomfortable and embarrassed.

Cure-Couture has seven different styles of gowns, all available in a wide array of attractive colors and prints. Gowns are “one size fits most,” sizes 0 up to 22, depending on the style. The adjustable ties, snaps and Velcro closures provide a secure fit that keeps everything under wraps.

The “Linda” is a chic kimono gown and is Linda’s original design for her own patient gown. It features a back closure with Velcro, snaps or ties and a tie at the side seam for an adjustable, more fitted look if desired. The “Ashley” features both front and back tie closures for full body access and includes a practical front pocket.

The super trendy, “Marilyn” gown has a designer neckline and back tie closure. You can’t beat the “Rachelle” for versatility, as this gown with front tie closures can also be worn backwards to provide back access. The “Kristen” is a classic wrap gown with side tie closures that allow easy front access for convenient nursing.

The sassy “Lisa” gown has a full back Velcro closure and also has front access to the upper body which is also handy for breastfeeding moms. The “Linsay” has a Velcro back closure along with access to the front for nursing and features outside and inside pockets making this gown practical and chic.
