It's Good to Know … Angela Edgeworth

The Edgeworth Family

I met Angela Edgeworth, president and founder of pediped Footwear, in 2005 at her first gift trade show. We hit it off quickly as Angela was very open to sharing her new venture and I was only too willing to give her my two cents worth of trade show wisdom. (I remember that she made me aware of the potential to sell children’s products and gifts to upscale car washes!) At our first meeting we began what has grown into a very nice business friendship, based on mutual respect, admiration and appreciation of our ability to help each other in our respective businesses.

Pediped’s First Little Steps Led To Big Success

Pediped, guided by Angela with her CEO husband Brian, and their growing management team (which I think is made up of more MBAs than any other company in the juvie biz) is at the top of my list of favorite success stories. I met Angela early in the rise of pediped, and she remains the same driven, motivated, intelligent, innovative, personable woman of the highest integrity and sense of style that I met in her novice stage. Now, she is the woman behind a company that other brands admire and look to as a model for growth, successful brand marketing, quality and excellent customer service.

Business Ethics and Giving Back Define Her Class

It is Angela and Brian’s honest business ethics and commitment to “do the right thing” that impressed me most early on in our relationship and that I know has humbly shown itself in several business dealings and challenges over the years. I love seeing good people succeed.

Angela is one of my favorite “I-knew-her-when” woman in the children’s industry. We reminisce how Hilary Abbott (pediped’s PR pro and also someone “good to know”), Angela, myself, my wife and just a few of pediped’s employees first got together for a celebration of business and friendship during the ABC Kid Show many years ago. That get together grew over the years into a much bigger annual media dinner sponsored by pediped to show their appreciation to many in the media. It is always a fun, enjoyable and casual yet classy event.

Kinderbliss is new retail service from pediped

The media appreciation is just one way pediped gives back and shows sincere gratitude for their success. The company is known for its generosity and philanthropic programs that support Make A Wish, Sole for Suirls, Toys for Tots, K.I.D.S. and others.

Kinderbliss is Newest Venture

Pediped, under Angela’s inspiration, innovation and guidance, continues to grow in new directions, with both an expansion of its line to include new footwear collections, legwear and socks and launch of Kinderbliss, a retail catalog and online store which reflects Angela’s appreciation of fine things for children in gifts and apparel. It is inspiring too that pediped and Kindrebliss have grown along with Angela and Brian’s family and commitment to being good parents. Somehow, Angela manages to wear many hats: entrepreneur, innovator, company president, volunteer, wife and mother with the same style and grace that makes her shine whenever I see her.

I am proud of Angela’s personal and business achievements. I appreciate her support of my business efforts over the years, her generosity, character and commitment to teamwork to achieve excellence. I am blessed that I know, and admire, Angela.
