Oh ! The smell

Partners in crime - stalking the skunk

Now that you know the crew, let me tell you about their antics. My dogs have the primo life. We live on 10 acres. All the dogs in the neighborhood are free to roam. Typically, they stay home.

The other night my sister and I were doing yoga. I look out the window and notice that both Numa and Mable are siting exactly the same way, about 15-feet apart, backs to each other. They had trapped a skunk in the culvert. They were on patrol duty. They were so determined to get the skunk. We thought it was so funny. Few hours later, they are still there. We start to hear them yipping, then we smell it. The skunk had come out and sprayed them. It was a direct hit. There was just enough breeze to bring the odor into the house. We tried to close the windows but we were too late. We stunk, the house stunk and the dogs were really stinky. They were so pleased with themselves they were smiling from ear to ear.

The next day I was driving in to the office, and I kept smelling the skunk. I get out of my car and I realized it was the car. It smelled. My sister went to the gym. She was getting out of the car and a kid says, “Your car stinks.”

This would be another example of “good behavior.”
