Harajuku Lovers

Main Profile

Harajuku Lovers
- Out Of Business -

Harajuku Lovers brand was named for the wonderful tradition of the Harajuku district, a famous district in Japan. This little district has a very peculiar tradition. Local teenagers come here and hang out on Sundays wearing Gothic Lolita outfits just to have fun and to be themselves. It is a way of showing that they are independent. Some of these outfits are indeed shocking. These dressing-up romps have become iconic and symbolize the freedom of expression that Japanese girls have traditionally been prohibited from. The Harajuku tradition has become a major tourist attraction and foreigners vie to be photographed with these very unusually dressed Japanese girls.

The Harajuku Lovers clothesline puts the emphasis on this quaint little hotspot. Harajuku Lovers has rapidly gained prominence and popularity all over the world. This line is most popular with the teenagers.
