The holidays are past, the New Year is officially in full swing and trade show season is upon us. Trade shows are great for getting out in front of buyers, networking with industry peers and writing orders. For all the benefits, however, there is a cost. The financial investment, not to mention the time away from the office, can put a strain on a business. Choosing the right shows, making the most of your time there and seeing a positive return on your financial investment can make or break a marketing budget. Following are some tips for determining which shows make the most sense for your business, ideas for maximizing your presence and strategies for ensuring a good show.

Young children are not always sugar and spice and everything nice! When parents get desperate for tools to help calm their kids’ tantrums, steer them toward effective solutions from Time Out Spots, TOTO Products LLC, Teamson and Moms on Edge. These brands specialize in products to help kids learn right from wrong. Both practical and ingenious, these products encourage parents to manage their children’s behavior in a consistent manner, and send kids a potent message about their misdeeds, so they’ll be careful to think critically about the consequences of their actions.

As harried parents know, life is generally filled with more demands than there are hours in a day to meet. Given a family’s long list of daily activities and goals, parents who want both themselves and their children to be more organized and accountable can benefit from a helpful selection of tools by The Homework Caddy, Creative Changes, Prosperity4Kids and The Reward Chain. These products help parents teach kids the importance of responsibility when it comes to activities like tracking homework assignments, performing household chores and saving money.

Blue Apple Books is known for providing fantastic, original children’s publications. The creative minds behind this independent publisher are breaking new ground yet again with the recent release of a comedic line of books known as Balloon Toons. Holding true to form, the Balloon Toons series brings the philosophy of Blue Apple Books front and center: encourage a child’s development, strengthen bonds between parents and children, and do it all through a unique collaboration in books. The close knit team of writers, artists and illustrators take pride in their own unique style — and want children of all ages to benefit from it as well.

Beyond the baby basics, the most desired shower gifts are functional products that showcase singular quality in design and style. “Cuteness” is also an essential element shoppers look for, hoping to induce plenty of jubilant “oohs!” and “ahhs!” during the gift opening occasion. When customers are in search of “the perfect gift,” steer them to baby shower must-haves from Itzy Ritzy, Wry Baby, Urban Smalls and Dara & Co. These innovative companies offer fresh, fun, exceptional products that are guaranteed to bring a downpour of fun-loving giggles and heart-warming memories to the party.

Now fashion and function are even more affordable!
