The kütelight Helps Bring Animals' Plight to Light!

For animal lovers everywhere, the Acme World Zoo offers a stylish way to help displaced animals and teach children to do the same. The Acme World Zoo offers the kütelight, a modern, back-lit wall light with enchanting animal silhouettes. This luminary’s creation spans generations, from its salvaged vintage 1950’s animal silhouettes to its initial inspiration drawn from the hurricane Katrina disaster. Something Old is New Again

The animal forms were taken from a 1950’s die cut, literally fished out of a dumpster. After holding on to the forms for 19 years, the disaster of Katrina was the inspiration for the creation of the humane cause and product. Struck by the plight of animals displaced and stranded in the disaster, Mary Kuzma pulled out the simple animal designs, rescued years earlier. She was compelled to write a children’s book about stranded animals that banded together before their rescue which was modeled after the plight of animals in Katrina.

The kütelight was designed by Kuzma, using the old forms and storybook for inspiration. The beautifully crafted light has clean lines with rounded corners. The animal form placed in the bottom right is beautifully backlit, displaying an innocent design.

Acme World Zoo — Its Menagerie Brightens Our World

The Kutelight is available in Bunnito the Bunny, Bunny the Deer, Charlie Dog the Scottish Terrier, Daisy Cat, Elephant, Giraffe, and Polar Bear. Collections include the White Out Angel Collection, the Bold Crayon Collection, and the color-accented Candy Collection.

The kütelightt is made in the USA from recycled metal and is powered with a florescent bulb. Continuing the drive to help animals in need, Acme World Zoo donates to animal shelters and charities. A portion of every sale is given to a local shelter near Brooklyn, where the line is manufactured. A portion of the proceeds from the polar bear light go specifically to save the polar bears.
