Trappings owner and founder, Joanie, loves to shop… especially for furniture. Her background is in the new home industry and she has been known to happily disappear under piles of furniture catalogs.

After visiting Urbanism in Newport Beach, she became friends with Urbanism’s owner Shephanie and decided to combine her love of shopping with her love furniture by bringing Stephanie’s great concept of lo-markup, quality furniture to the San Diego area. These days there are more the 20 stores nationwide that follow Stephanie’s model.

Though Trappings has been around for about nine years now, Joanie continually finds new fabulous vendors to bring to San Diego. She goes to furniture and decor markets every season.
