The January 2011 California Gift Show® is Marked by Growth and Strong Sales

LOS ANGELES, CA (January 25, 2011) –The January California Gift Show® saw significant growth with more than 20,000 buyers attending the show, over 230 new exhibitors and 20 new/relocated/expanded permanent showrooms opening in time for the winter market. The largest wholesale gift show on the West Coast, with more than 850 temporary exhibitors and 200 permanent showrooms was a-buzz with buyers placing orders, attending seminars and events, networking with other buyers and more. Showrooms and exhibitors alike reported increased traffic, healthy sales and overall high energy.

Keynote Presentation
The keynote presentation which opened the California Gift Show was delivered by celebrated interiors and product designer Thomas O’Brien on Friday, January 21, 2011. O’Brien discussed his design philosophy and his book, American Modern, a survey of seven of his most influential projects ranging from traditional to modern in style. A book signing and reception followed the presentation.
