The Shows

The ABC Spring Educational Conference - Louisville, Kentucky (5/3/10 - 5/5/10)

The Giggle Guide® takes a minute to chat with Sarah Bailey and Linda Flaherty, co-owners of the Once Upon A Time retail stores in Birmingham, Alabama about their trip to the 2010 ABC Spring Conference.

The ABC Spring Educational Conference - Louisville, Kentucky (5/3/10 - 5/5/10)

The Giggle Guide® had a chance to catch up with Eric Seeman at 2010 The ABC Spring Educational Conference in Louisville, Kentucky that is currently under way.

Children's Club - New York, New York (3/7/10 - 3/9/10)

With over 750 collections, including 123 new lines, the three-day ENK Children’s Club Fall/Winter Back-to-School Show was an extravaganza of children’s fashion at its best! This coming together of leading brands in the children’s market was a perfect representation of what today’s market demands in both style and price, and featured over 100 environmentally-conscious collections from established brands like Coccoli, Kate Quinn Organics, Sage Organics and Petit Bateau. The Giggle Guide®’s Leesa Valentino covered the show and had her eye on the following favorites: Kiwi Industries, la Lovie, Skylar Clothing and UB2 Urban Baby Bonnet.

Los Angeles Market - Los Angeles, California (3/19/10 - 3/23/10)

I attended the March Market to see Kids on 6 at the California Market Center in Los Angeles. It took a full and busy afternoon to visit just a few of the many showrooms on the sixth floor. Here is a photo essay of what caught my eye. If I were a children’s retailer, I would definitely have to take several days to cover all that there is to see that’s new for Fall 2010. As far as trends go, tulle seems to be more popular than ever. Mismatched fabric combos, and greys with various fall hues are in many collections. European brands, especially in Patti Bergstrom Sales, are a particular surprise for their variety, full collections and incredible value pricing.

Children's Club - New York, New York (3/7/10 - 3/9/10)

The Children’s Club Fall 2010 show had a great turnout and was a huge success! It was exciting to see several new companies exhibiting with some unique products. Without the Bubble show running, some of its regular exhibitors decided to attend Children’s Club, largely exhibiting together in one row. With so many great lines, it is a difficult task to pick out favorites, but the following brands stood out to me with their soft, comfortable fabrics and fabulous style!

MAGIC Kids - Las Vegas, Nevada (2/16/10 - 2/18/10)

MAGIC Kids in Las Vegas had plenty of surprises and tricks up its sleeve in February. During The Giggle Guide’s recent visit to MAGIC Kids, we discovered several standout products, including Glop and Glam, Mouth Man hoody tees, and ONS GEAR. Be sure to also take a look at our product highlights from February’s KidShow held at Bally’s Las Vegas. It’s not too late to add these brands to your Fall 2010 list!

KidShow - Las Vegas, Nevada (2/15/10 - 2/17/10)

In February, KidShow Las Vegas showcased adorable children’s apparel and accessories from preemie and newborn to tween, in all price ranges and styles from promising new designers to the leading brands. KidShow has a well-deserved reputation as a fantastic event that is filled to the brim with interesting items, and February’s show did not disappoint! The Giggle Guide® presents a few of the many innovative, eye-catching products from KidShow, including offerings from Weboo, Tiny Ducky, Button-Caps, Popsie Organics and Kanga-Ganga.

ENK Children’s Club at Javits Center in NYC opened Sunday and continues through March 9th. This event is the largest children’s apparel show featuring Fall 2010 collections, as well as some immediate-buy specials for this spring and summer. Before the red carpets are pulled up for another season, check out these fantastic brands at Children’s Club: Kicokids, Honeyami, Ideo and No Added Sugar.
