About the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC)
The CPSC is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from thousands of types of consumer products under its jurisdiction. It is also responsible for interpretation and enforcement policy guidelines relating to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).
