My first son, the big brother of the family, uttered “Diggo” when he first began to speak. As he pointed out the window at a huge yellow digger, I drove alongside the now 121 Tollway in Collin County. Of course it was so cute and I was mesmerized at his fascination of construction vehicles. He matured and his digger schema narrowed to crane, backhoe, front loader and more. Then there were toys, clothes and books… a favorite, Trucks by Byron Barton, was a nightly read.
