Elements Naturals
Main Profile
In 2007, Linda Naerheim founded Elements Naturals™ with the aim of developing high-quality baby products that are designed with babies and the environment in mind.
After learning she was wiping her first baby with a product consisting of wood pulp, rayon, polyester, plastic, parabens, and harsh chemicals Linda decided to go where none of the baby care giants have gone before. Her company, Elements Naturals™ is now introducing parents to the first and only baby wipe in North America that is 100% natural and produced from annually renewable materials.
Unique from traditional baby wipe brands, which use a blend of polyester, polypropylene, cotton, wood pulp, and/or rayon fibers, Elements Naturals™ baby wipes are made from 100% Ingeo™ fibers, the world’s first man made fiber created from annually renewable resources. Extruded from Ingeo resin, a natural material that is plant-derived, not oil-based, Ingeo fibers are free of
chemical additives, synthetic materials and chemical surface treatments. Their production also requires less fossil fuel resources and creates fewer greenhouse gases than when making traditional synthetic wipes.
The 100% natural, plant-derived Ingeo™ fibers that Elements Naturals™ wipes use are nonallergenic. They do not contain profilin, the allergen that causes reactive symptoms.
Another distinctive benefit to the Elements Naturals™ wipe is its size and thickness. As a mom of two, who has changed a lot of messy diapers, it was important to Linda that she create a larger wipe that could clean the messiest diaper, reducing the amount of wipes used, and helping parents keep their hands clean during the process too.
To further her cause, the packaging uses 60% less plastic than other wipes and is recyclable.
Elements Naturals™ wipes are currently available at select Whole Foods Stores and Diapers.com. The products are never tested on animals.
Elements Naturals™ donates proceeds from the sales of the wipes to 1 % FOR THE PLANET, an organization that encourages businesses to contribute 1% of sales to environmental groups to drive positive environmental change around the world.
