Designers and owners Susie Taniguchi and Paula Walker decided to create a more fanciful girls’ mary jane that can be worn for special occasions as well as for everyday play. Paula Walker graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and also worked for Federated Department stores for 19 years. Having that retail background helped Susie and Paula create a product that they knew was missing in the girls shoe market. Little girls like to pick their own shoes out but Mom likes to make sure the quality is there. One Ruby Lane satisfies both daughter and mom. You will notice that every collection includes some type of mary jane along with other styles of shoes like embellished soft sole shoes and sneaker style shoes.
