Meet Mothers of Invention at The ABC Expo, Sept 13-16

SummerMuff

Fit Strollers and Joggers

Mom Inventors Help Build the Baby Business with Inspired Inventions!
This week, The Giggle Guide® will highlight some new products and line extensions premiering at The ABC Kids Expo, Las Vegas Convention Center, Sept 13-16.

SummerMuff is a soft sac that lines infant carriers, strollers and joggers to provide baby comfort and protection from the sun’s harmful ways. It’s invented by a mom, Colleen Schropfer, who brought the product to market after looking for something to protect her own child. Dipe n’ Go is another real-life solution to a problem that inspired mom Rose Marie Iskowitz to change the way parents change diapers on-the-go. At the ABC Show, oftentimes, moms are the mothers of invention!

SummerMuff — Eco-Friendly, Organic Cotton Sun Protection for Baby

SummerMuff, the soft, comfortable, mom-invented, organic cotton sac that lines infant carriers, strollers, and joggers introduces a sun defense product breakthrough for babies. SummerMuff’s new eco-friendly, patent-pending design uses 100% organic cotton, woven with natural minerals to block more than 90% of the sun’s harmful UVA/UVB rays, which is the equivalent of SPF50 lotion. The top layer that drapes over baby is custom-made UPF50 fabric exclusive to SummerMuff that protects skin from damaging sun-rays. The soft, t-shirt like fabric touches baby’s skin instead of the scratchy synthetic fabrics that strollers and carriers are typically made from. Children should be protected from dangerous sun rays and the skin damage they can cause. SummerMuff is helps protect baby while on strolls, while adding the comfy feel of the softee-tee fabric. SummerMuff is available in three colors; pretty pink, baby blue and natural and comes in two sizes; large (ideal for strollers and joggers) and small (ideal for infant carriers).

Mom Inventor Saw the Light . . . and Protected Her Baby from It!

SummerMuff

ABC Debut -- For Sun Protection and Comfort
On bright, warm sunny days, founder and mompreneur Colleen Challenger Schropfer was fed up with the time she spent lining the back of her stroller with soft blankets and cloth so her baby’s bare skin wasn’t irritated or scratched by nylon and polyester. She also wanted to heed her pediatrician’s advice and not put greasy sun block on her baby’s sensitive skin. So she tried lots of contraptions on the market that fell off or blocked her baby’s view. Nothing worked to her satisfaction. In designing the new eco-friendly organic SummerMuff, Schropfer said, “We’ve managed to achieve both comfort and safety with maximum protection from the sun and maximum comfort for baby.”

Schropfer reports, I made SummerMuff from custom-made certified UPF50 fabric that is treated with minerals to block more than 90% of the sun’s harmful UVA/UVB rays. Both the top and bottom layers of the muff are made from organic cotton that allow air to get through to baby’s skin, but also block the sun’s harmful rays and keep her cool and soft. Finally, my baby wasn’t sweaty and itchy — she could see without trying to peek around sun parasols — and that made her happy. The fabric that touched her skin protected her from the sun; was soft, cool and natural, and that made me happy!” Schropfer is thrilled to be able to bring her SummerMuff creation to market to help other parents and babies. SummerMuffs wholesale for $36.00 each, and retail for $59.99 each. Wholesale order forms can be requested by sending an email to . Bulk discounts are available.

SummerMuff is a privately held, eco-friendly company based in Red Bank, New Jersey that designs, manufactures and sells to retailers. Their products use custom-made 100% organic UPF50 cotton fabric, the equivalent of using SPF50 lotion on baby, for the maximum UV protection available. Dipe n’ Go! — Adds a Portable Changing Station to Your Van

Dipe n' Go!

Easy as #1, 2 . . . and 3!
New Jersey Mom Rose Marie Iskowitz is another mother that will be at The ABC Kids Expo for the first time, introducing her Dipe n’ Go invention. It’s another example of how moms discover product needs from real-life situations, and set out to bring their solutions to market. Rose relates how a frustration with public diaper changing facilities made her take cleaner matters into her own hands, “It’s unhealthy and unsafe to use germ-riddent changing tables public restrooms. And what parent hasn’t spent time searching for a clean place to change baby when out at parks and playgrounds?”

Dipe n' Go

Quick Changes On-the-Go!
Dipe n’ Go is Rose’s innovative solution to easier, cleaner changes. It’s a portable baby changing station especially designed for SUVs, minivans or other hatchback vehicles. So, it goes where you do … and more important where baby goes! With one-hand ease, the Dipe n’ Go unrolls a sanitary, comfortable diaper changing station in the safety of your vehicle’s hatch. It includes compartments for all the essentials, including diapers, wipes, creams and more.
