The ParentLab journeyBee™ is for Families in Motion

Traveling with babies presents moms and dads with quite a few challenges. Babies need special gear to be kept safe, fed, clean and entertained. Much of that gear can prove difficult to get from point A to point B in an easy, convenient way. Cribs and playards are among the most cumbersome items that parents sometimes have to tote around; even folding models can be bulky, stiff, and difficult to transport.

Over the years, baby gear manufacturers have looked for ways to make lighter, easier to maneuver portable playards and cribs. Some of these efforts have worked quite well, allowing parents more freedom of movement. Still, the perfect folding playard remained elusive; there were always too many parts or too much bulk to allow for truly smooth transport. Finally, there’s the journeyBee, an ultra-light, ready-to-travel folding crib from ParentLab.

The journeyBee features a compact surface area that gives baby enough room to rest and have fun. The floor surface has a soft flannel blanket that attaches by Velcro holds so it doesn’t bunch up when baby moves about. The bottom of the playpen has patent-pending “feet” that are small, yet sturdy enough to hold the play area up off the ground. This is great for families who like to spend time outdoors and need to keep their little one off chilly or damp ground surfaces.

When it’s time to pack up and hit the road again, mom or dad can easily fold the journeyBee by putting it on its side and collapsing it with very little effort. It can then be put into the lightweight nylon carry bag and it’s ready to go.

For parents who want an even more compact and convenient portable crib, ParentLab has introduced the MiniBee, a product similar to the journeyBee but in an even smaller size that can be checked on airplanes and brought to just about any destination.

ParentLab is a unique business that helps budding inventors (who also happen to be moms and dads) make their kid-inspired creations a reality. journeyBee is the first product they have launched, and they hope to continue developing fun, innovative ideas brought to them by parents across the country.
