Melopima is Oh! So Soft

When they feel how soft it is, Pima cotton will definitely be the fabric of your customers’ lives. During a trip to Peru, designer Elia Gressin-Zapata realized how amazing Pima cotton was and wanted to share it with her friends in France, so she created Melopima. Grown, harvested and sorted by hand by small producers in northen Peru, Pima cotton is so rare and silky it’s called “Silk of South America” and Elia made it a point to have production in Lima, Peru. The cotton is free of chemicals and GMOs and is used by leading brands across the world because of its soothing texture and purity.

The Cape De Bain Tit Prince is a bath cape for infants and children. The 100% Peruvian Pima cotton towel is hypoallergenic and highly absorbent. The hooded towel also comes with a matching washcloth.

Hats off to Elia for her Bonnet “Chullo” Rose Poudré, the perfect cap to protect baby’s head. Practical and sweet, these bonnets make a perfect shower or birth gift and go up to size 6-9 months for older babies.

The Bavoir bibs snap to the left to make it easy to take on and off during wiggly feeding times. The “Love Framboise” is a bright pink and features an artistic heart made of connected stars. The “Tit Prince” bib is royal blue with connected stars that form a crown.

It’s not just the fabric that’s soft and delicate. Melopima silkscreen designs are intricate and sweet and will stand out in any clothing display. The Body “Cocotte” MC depicts a worm and bird making friends. The Pyjama “Robopima” are based on Indian trousers and are cool with their robot design and their light cotton feel, despite long sleeves.

For the smaller set, sweet dreams come with Turbulette Gris “Car” sleep sack with a handy zipper on the side and snaps on the shoulder for easy changes. The baby bags are also available in the heart and crown silkscreens to match the bibs.

You and your customers can trust Melopima and its selection of materials and workshops. All creations are made using traditional methods in Lima and non-toxic inks. Parents will also love that most of them are machine washable, so high quality doesn’t require high care.
