Real-Time Reassurance with Mimo Smart Baby

The first year or so of a baby’s life is one that’s often full of anxiety for mom and dad, especially during the night. It can be difficult to find the right balance between giving the baby (and the parents) enough privacy to enjoy a good night’s sleep and keeping a close eye on the little one’s well-being. Many moms and dads are familiar with the little voice of worry that gnaws away at them when their baby is in the nursery, and they want a solution that keeps them informed without intruding on and waking the infant.

Baby monitors have been around for a couple of decades now, and as with most electronic devices, their evolution has been remarkable. The Smart Baby Monitor does much more than enable a parent or caregiver to listen in on baby’s activity; it allows for monitoring a range of other stats, like the the baby’s position, sleep/wake cycles, body temperature, and respiration. How does it do all this? Mimo starter kits come with three comfy sleep kimonos and a little turtle-shaped sensor called a Lilypad designed to attach to the kimonos. The sensor picks up the baby’s sounds and other information and sends it all directly to an iOS or Android smart device.

The accompanying app lets the user see real-time information as well as look back at past patterns to evaluate how baby has been doing over time. Best of all, the baby’s Lilypad information can be shared among all caregivers who have the app, so everyone can be on the same page.
