Charge Up Sales with Electrik Kidz

“We are always working on re-creating kids’ fashion with a clever, modern twist,” explains Christian Simard, co-founder of Electrik Kidz. The Canadian company has an eye on creating fun designs that charm parents and enthrall children. But it also sees itself as more than a trendy style setter: Electrik Kidz takes its stewardship of the future seriously. All garments are made in Quebec with an emphasis on organic fabrics, so parents can be assured that only snuggly fabric is resting on their child’s skin. However, noting that cotton is not always the best choice for every piece (“Did you know that cotton is the most polluting crop in the world?” the brands asks on its website.), the company also integrates natural, recycled, or local materials. This sophisticated take on material use has garnered Electrik Kidz kudos from a variety of North American style watchers, as well as a growing list of satisfied customers.

“The baby bandana is our first product that we launched three years ago. It is quite popular here in Canada,” notes Simard. And it will become popular in the U.S. market too: developed by co-founder, designer, and mompreneur Ariane St-Pierre Cyr, the bandana is a modern take on Wild West charm and infant necessity. A tot-sized kerchief is linked to a pacifier clip, making it easy to keep baby dry and find the pacifier when needed. It comes in more than a dozen styles, including the Japanese-garden inspired Cherry Tree with sweet birds, and the chic black Robot bandana.

Pacifier-clip shirts are also available for those who want a little more coverage. The Baby T Owl shirt has an adorable silk-screened hoot owl resting on a sunny yellow background (available for sizes 0-24 months). Other styles include a giant panda design and a centaur. One-piece outfits are must-haves for every growing child. The Passe-Montagne pjs (available in sizes 0-5 years old) are red with a teal vest design. The bow-tie is a giant Monarch butterfly, a nod to nature.

For those who enjoy nostalgic style, the MC Hammer pants for girls are trimmed in pink and sport an animal-print bow (0-24 months). Jumping Jack Flash never looked as charming as he could because he lacked the Flash Leggings. Constructed from organic interlock cotton, these leggings have lightning bolts on the knees and would look great peeking out from a cute dress or tunic top.
