In business since 1995, my business has been focused on nurturing start ups. Initially I started as a pattern maker (25+ years experience) but quickly found that entrepreneurs lacked the technical know how to produce a line. It was then that I wrote The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Sewn Product Manufacturing, a guide for startups to medium sized businesses. It is the most highly rated book in the garment industry.
As part of my mission, I run Fashion-Incubator.com, a site with over 1,600 pages of free business information. When I’m not blogging or writing, I continue to help designers with pattern making, sampling and consulting. I enjoy connecting designers to other parties in the industry who can help them, such as sewing contractors ideally suited to handle their production.
