Prosur Alpaca & Wool Tops

In April 1954, in the city of Arequipa located in the south of Peru, Prosur commenced operations under the name Roberto Sarfaty & Cia., S.A.

Initially, the business involved the export of wool and alpaca fibers and later the industrial processes that permitted the commercialization of these fibers in scoured and top forms.

Over the years the processes of spinning, dying and more recently, making up have been added permitting a range of products that can be offered today that practically embrace all the stages of transformation of these fibers.

With more that 340 operatives based in Lima and mainly Arequipa, Prosur forms part of the Sarfaty Group, a Peruvian management conglomerate made up of five successful companies.

Today, Prosur exports around 80% of its production to markets in more than 25 countries, of which the most important are Italy, China, and South Korea.
