Tüyap Fairs & Exhibitions Organization

Tüyap was established on 28 June 1979 in Istanbul. The company initially used the Istanbul Sports and Exhibition Hall and the Etap Marmara Hotel for its events, but as the number of projects multiplied and industry exhibitions became popular, a need for wider areas arose. Consequently, the Istanbul Exhibition Center was opened on 30 March 1987. The prevalent need for a modern exhibition center in the long term was met by the construction of Tüyap İstanbul Exhibition and Congress Center in 1996. The company has also pioneered the foundation of the Turkish Exhibition Organizers Association, and is currently the president of the association.
