Children's Club - New York, New York (3/7/10 - 3/9/10)

The Children’s Club Fall 2010 show had a great turnout and was a huge success! It was exciting to see several new companies exhibiting with some unique products. Without the Bubble show running, some of its regular exhibitors decided to attend Children’s Club, largely exhibiting together in one row. With so many great lines, it is a difficult task to pick out favorites, but the following brands stood out to me with their soft, comfortable fabrics and fabulous style!

Goodbye heavy winter stews, hello ham sandwiches and fruit salad — spring is picnic season! After a long winter, who doesn’t love to get out and enjoy some al fresco dining with family and friends? Packing up some yummy kid picks, and being properly prepared, is the key to making these outings more enjoyable. Today, The Giggle Guide™ is offering an enticing menu of picnic supplies from Tuffo, Itzy Ritzy, and Kids Konserve, who have plenty of appetizing ideas for outdoor dining, family style.

I am so excited about our new Tent in a Bag. We have made tents at the park, beach, in hotels, and when the girls were little they were completely obsessed with “stroller forts.”

Remember how we used to pile stacks of books onto heavy blankets and try to make tents at home? NO MORE! Grab our Spring Bean clamps and attach the material to beds, chairs, tables, or even park benches and tree branches. Carabean the cute little bag onto the stroller and head out for some summer fun.

They are here, just in time for Spring!

Our new Tent in a Bag is the perfect little companion for airport or hotel tents, keeping the sun out of little eyes in the stroller, and making forts at home! Each kit comes with a unique piece of recycled, vintage or new tent material, 4 Spring Bean clamps, and a cute little bag to tote it around. Why not clip it on the stroller with a Carabean and make a tent at the park? Fabulous!

Sales reps and their showrooms are an important and valuable service link between manufacturers and retailers. In the children’s industry, sales reps often hold the key to open the right retail doors for manufacturers to succeed and boost sales. Many of the best reps work their trade in permanent showrooms designed to showcase multiple lines to their best advantage. These showrooms are the ideal venue for wholesale buyers to shop efficiently and do business with trusted sales professionals. According to Milk Money Boutique’s store owner, Rita Thomas, her children’s specialty store in North Carolina is “for the child who has everything but deserves more. At Milk Money, every day is a special occasion.” Rita shares how she went from marketing for the federal government to marketing her own store and its assorted collections of quality apparel and gifts for boys and girls. Inspired by a move to North Carolina, her own sense of style and how she wanted to dress her son, Rita is successfully showing everyone that a little “milk money” can go a long way in making children and moms feel special.

All over the globe, there is the undeniable presence of poverty and loss. Basic human rights are often violated, parents struggle to feed their families, and animals cope with reduced habitat. With so many hands outstretched in need, it’s easy to turn the other way, not seeing how to make a difference individually. However… together we really can make a difference. MayaWorks, Oomfy Corp and Bébé Ravi Collection are three of many outstanding organizations that make it their daily mission to provide answers that are sustainable, ethical, and empowering!

Wow! It’s February and March is around the corner. We’ve had the worst winter here in Texas and we all know how my computer loves cold winter weather and don’t forget thunder storms in the spring. I’ve had the worst computers problems lately. That’s pretty much why I’ve been a little absent to this blog.

My day consists of when the computer works..I can get shipping labels printed, email customers, and try to upload photos. I can’t wait for summer!

We’ve heard the tales of yesteryear when Grandpa whittled toys out of a stick or soap, and cobbled together a rocker from backyard branches, while Grandma sewed cozy Christmas pajamas and the infamous coat of many colors. Today, at Jack Rabbit Creations, each item is made with an appreciation for hand-craftsmanship and an artistic eye that commemorates traditions of days past, reminiscent of simpler times when treasured belongings often included a special story about their creation.

So I finally decided to do it! I managed to complete a real window display. Smile

My theme was inspired by Anthropologie’s honeycomb window displays.

When I started researching about bees, I found that they actually are a good fit for the showroom.
