Zooklz Offer Kids a Square Deal

Elephants and piggies and lions, oh my! With the intense marketing and popularity of animal-shaped pillows, smaller companies selling plush critters might not get the attention they deserve. What if you could offer your customers an affordable and unique alternative to over-commercialized toys? And what if that offering also happened to help animals everywhere, lining cages instead of just pockets? Tell your customers it is, in fact, hip to be square by offering them Zooklz, the square animals with attitude.

Zooklz were born in the mind of talented Jim Cordaro, a partner with Bruce Rubin in the Minneapolis graphic design firm, Rubin Cordaro Design. These animals are designed to inspire imagination in kids of all ages and come with a lofty ambition to teach children to become early caretakers of the world around.

Zooklz are cute with a purpose and come from the land where quadrilaterals are as common as dice on a gaming board. They’re fuzzy little friends with a square body and a big heart, as a portion of the profits are donated to animal welfare organizations. The whole thing started with Jim Cordaro’s sweet companion, Guido, a jet-black cockapoo who helped the artist run Rubin Cordaro Design. Taking Guido’s mischievous and lively spirit, Jim has created an entire cityscape of comfy companions for kids, all featuring signature geometric features and spherical coal black eyes.

Young children really like the soft, cuddly feel of the squeezable Zooklz and older kids love the cuddly feel and enjoy the fun character descriptions and the animal welfare donations that go along with it. Measuring 9.5” x 9.5”, these animals are slightly smaller than some of the pillow pals on the market, making them ideal for younger kiddos looking for a place to rest their heads at nap time.

Each whimsical character comes with a little bio. For example, Fanny the elephant is a talented sousaphone player and just loves to toot her own horn. Lilo the lion isn’t afraid to cuddle, while Truffle the pig is as mannerly as they come. The Zooklz line also has a plush parrot named Pierre, and Drummer Dog, all in vibrant colors and cuddly plush fabric. There are plans to expand those to further tell the story that Zooklz are lovable, square animal friends. While some are wild and some are pets, they all help us discover, enjoy and protect the amazing world zoo.

Zooklz are so huggable, that they are best displayed so the buyer can pick them up and feel their delightful, furry coats. The company has plans to develop merchandising materials for retail owners who would like assistance in displaying Zooklz in their stores.

Zooklz has 25 animals that are waiting to come to life. Following that, look out for a second line, Kooklz, which are kooky square creatures that are less animal, more fun. Tame the entire menagerie at www.Zooklz.com
