Drama Kids Take a Bow

Sister-in-laws Debbie Horwits and Charlie Weir wanted to start a company that would utilize their creative skills. As the mother of four daughters, Charlie wanted to be their role model as a female entrepreneur. She felt with the tough financial times that the idea of starting a business was more relevant than ever.

Debbie and Charlie started Drama in 2010, selling mostly girl’s accessories and novelty items. They are now moving towards carrying a full garment line with a selection of beautiful accessories. One of their best selling items is the ruffled one-piece that is a popular choice year round. It’s a fun bottom cover that’s versatile for dressing up or just feeling fancy while playing at home.

Drama focuses on creating fun textures without compromising the simplicity that keeps babies and children most comfortable. They feel that their philosophy of creating for kids and their needs is what sets them apart in the children’s clothing market. They have found that kids prefer to be comfortable and ready for play, and they design their clothing based on that principle.

Drama’s 2013 Spring/Summer Collection features apparel in top-quality cottons and fun colors. Colorful, pretty, textured cotton sundresses; ruffled leggings; t-shirt sets; and ultra-cozy, pointelle sweats are available in sizes infant to 4T.

The sundress is a unique design which ties above the shoulders for a beachy California laid-back feel; just add a cute cardigan for evening. The cotton ruffled long sleeve romper is great to pair with jeans, leggings or a skirt. The texture makes it easy to dress up, while still being comfy for baby. The one-piece and baby ruffle blanket make for a great baby gift. The ruffle legging set with T-shirt hangover is stylish and funky for little ones.

Drama carries a full line of hair accessories to complement their clothing. Girls can choose from simple to the fancy princess accessories that match their individual style.

Charlie and Debbie are excited about their expanding company and clothing line and have great pride in contributing to the U.S. economy by producing only locally in Los Angeles.
