Queasy is my middle name

Like most pregnant woman I have morning sickness. Also known as ALL day sickness. I’ve been lucky enough that I have not thrown up, but I still feel queasy and nauseous most of the day. I’ve read in one of my pregnancy books it is due to hormone changes. I’ve looked on the Internet for various cures/suggestions to help ease the nausea. I found a few suggestions — ginger and peppermint seem to be the most prominent helpers.

I told one of my friends, Ashley, who is also pregnant, about the sickness. She immediately suggested going to the local health food store and getting ginger capsules. I later picked up a bottle that day. I’ve been trying to take them consistently with meals. They seem to help a bit. Ashley also had purchased Preggie Pop Drops online. She said she didn’t like the taste of them. So she gave them to me.

The next day I brought the drops into work. The first flavor I tried was Green Apple. I really like Jolly Ranchers, so I imagined that’s what they would taste like. The taste was good and it seemed to alleviate some of the sickness. Later that day, I tried a Sour Tangerine. I normally don’t like sour things, but it didn’t bother me. It was tantalizing and made me curious how the other sour drops would be. The next day I tried the Sour Lemon (reminds me of Lemonheads) and I really liked it. I also had the Sour Raspberry drop, they tasted good too. They all seemed very helpful.

So I went to the Web site - http://www.threelollies.com/ - to find out why they worked. Basically a special formula with special ingredients, but nothing unnatural. So that made me happy. They also have ones made with Splenda, so if you have gestational diabetes you have another option.

I’ve been trying to only suck on two or so a day. I find it hard to get water in when I am sucking on something. My sister had severe morning/all day sickness. I would have loved for this product to been available for her when she was going through her pregnancies.

happy to be done with that

I just had twin boys, Hunter and Logan. When I was pregnant, I was one of the “lucky” ones to have morning sickness all day. Not only that, but I was sick the whole time. No matter what I took or did, it did not help. I was miserable. One of my friends, who has never had kids, asked me if I had tried Preggie Pops. I had heard of them, but never bought them. Next thing i know, I get a box in the mail. She sent me Preggie Pops and the candies. They turned out to be a life saver. I preferred the candies. It is hard walking around licking a lollipop (unless you are under 12 years of age). I liked the lemon and the orange the best. I must say.. I don’t miss those days. Smile Hope your morning sickness moves on soon.
