Glenna Jean
Main Profile
Glenna Jean has proven that high quality, infant products can be made by Americans for discriminating consumers. Glenna started Glenna Jean after the birth of her second child from what she perceived as a lack of basic nursery design. “Bedding was all about function; back then bumpers were made from plastic for easy clean up and coordinating accessories were all but unheard of.” So with a desire for something special for her little girl, Glenna crafted a fanciful nursery from printed sheets purchased at a local department store. Soon the word of this unique nursery spread. Requests from friends and neighbors for help with their nurseries began to pile up, and in the spring of 1977 Glenna Jean was born. Glenna quickly outgrew the small workspace in her home and moved her budding business into a small walk up apartment and started what is today the oldest privately held infant bedding company in the U.S. and one of the most respected and sought after brands in the infant industry.
