Whodihoo delivers when it comes to innovation and imagination. They have created a new spin on a classic by introducing their exclusive and one-of-a-kind Slicknot Tie.

Whodihoo co-owner, Chris Vea, grew tired of zipper, elastic, and clip-on ties. He simply stated, “They’re just cheesy”. However, he understood the need for a simple and effortless way for a toddler to wear a necktie. With a little help from a friend (co-owner Rodney Ishihara) an invention was born.

The Slicknot Tie has two components. The traditional necktie and the removable Slicknot. The Slicknot is a uniquely shaped accessory, with magnets precisely placed, to create a perfect knot every time. Just put the tie around your (or your child’s) neck, and simply place the Slicknot over the intersecting parts. Connect the magnets to their polar opposites and you’re done.

Whodihoo specifically designed their tie with magnets for safety purposes. The magnets act as a “break away feature” making it safer for toddlers.

Because the knot is removable, this allows you to mix and match your ties and knots. Ever seen a grey tie with a pink knot? How about a polka dot knot on a solid tie? Now you can.

All other “simple to use” neckties for children are fixed to one length. With Toddlers growing so fast and so often, Whodihoo’s solution is a one size fits all necktie. The same tie that fits a 2 year old will also fit 6 year old. Not only does it grow with the child, but it makes it easy for both the consumer and retailer to place an order.

Forward thinking also led Whodihoo to create a line of linen skinny ties for toddlers in their upcoming Spring 2014 collection. Have you ever seen a toddler rockin’ a skinny linen tie? They weren’t ever available until now. And that is where functionality meets fashion.
