Shoe Brands that Walk the Walk
When it comes to finding a path to help children in need, many shoe manufacturers are stepping in the right direction. Several children’s shoe companies have taken giant leaps to support their favorite charities and programs. pediped, See Kai Run, and MooShu Trainers are perfect examples of companies who give back in a way that helps kids and families, and also builds the quality reputation of their brands.
pediped Helps Wishes Come True
Since its inception in 2004, pediped® footwear has been devoted to sharing profits from its excellent shoe designs, and has served as a national sponsor of Make-A-Wish, donating more than $200,000 to the well-known foundation that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. This partnership is key to fulfilling the company’s desire to care for children beyond the needs of their feet.
pediped’s drive to give back has led to its most recent Make-A-Wish event which involved more than 60 well-known personalities including Halle Berry, Rachel Weisz, Faith Hill, Pierce Brosnan, David Ortiz, Ricardo Antonio Chavira, Jessica Alba, Shaquille O’Neal and more signing pediped shoes for an online star-studded auction. pediped is on a path to surpass last year’s Make-A-Wish donation of $145,000, having already raised more than $100,000 this year for the organization.
In addition to these efforts, being involved in charitable giving is an everyday practice as they work together with organizations that include Toys for Tots, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Prevent Child Abuse Georgia, Carousel of Hope, Soles4Souls, Safe House and Fertile Future.

See Kai Run, See Kai Care
See Kai Run offers a line of children’s shoes that are bold, hip, and delightfully fun, with a designer’s touch for comfort and urban sensibility. The line was inspired after the birth of the owner’s son Kai, as she looked for comfortable children’s shoes suitable for outdoor wear. An overwhelming response to the unique fashion of See Kai Run has been growing since 2004. Twice a year, See Kai Run is proud to introduce a new collection of 15 to 20 designs that embody classic sophistication with a modern twist, without sacrificing comfort, flexibility and the health of growing feet.
See Kai Run is not only running with its brand success, but also is thrilled to share that success with charitable organizations. To date, See Kai Run has provided over 30,000 pairs of shoes to international, national and local charities. Most notable is the company’s ongoing partnership with Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based charity that distributes shoes, free of charge, to people in need in over 125 countries. From their “Share a Pair” donation matching event, to their contributions to Soles4Souls, See Kai Run has helped raise awareness about the 300 million pairs of shoes that Americans alone discard each year, helping direct these shoes into the hands, and onto the feet of needy people the world over.

MooShu Trainers Takes Steps to Bring Comfort
It is often true that innovation is born out of frustration, and the development of MooShu Trainers is no exception! Blessed with a beautiful daughter that had inherited the family trait of wide, thick feet, trying to find a shoe that would fit seemed almost impossible until a Chinese shoe called “The Squeaky Shoe” led to the development of the MooShu Trainers. The MooShu Trainer adheres to three core features; width, thickness, and flexibility, without compromising style.
From the beginnings of MooShu Trainer, Debra Bishop has made a continued effort to donate wherever the need seems greatest. This flexibility in giving ensures that a broad range of needs are addressed and allows appropriate giving to local and international children struggling with poverty. In Dallas alone, Bishop states that there are 4,000 children under the age of six in foster care, and she regularly donates shoes to those children. In addition, she has given abundantly to a growing village in Africa where a little school provides the donated shoes to the local children in need.
