The Twig Helps Fat Brain Toys Branch Out
Fat Brain Toys focuses on open-ended educational toys that get kids playing and thinking. Fat Brain is a family-owned company, started by Web Designer Mark Carson and his wife Karen in 2002. Their son had received a GeoMag set of magnetic building pieces as a gift. When Mark realized how difficult it was to find on the Internet, the Carsons developed a plan to make these types of toys available to more kids, and Fat Brain Toys was born!
Starting as a retailer, Fat Brain Toys began creating its own toy line, available for wholesale. Expanding the market for beautifully crafted, enticing, open-ended toys, Fat Brain Toy Company is making a mark in the toy industry.
in 2006, founder Mark Carson became frustrated with the lack of available toys that fit the product line Fat Brain was looking for to offer through its Internet store. With paper and pencil in hand, Mark began sketching out ideas for toys they could develop. From there grew the award winning Dando Cubes, a unique set of interlocking building cubes. The Fat Brain collection has grown to include an assortment of products, including The Twig, innovative building blocks licensed from toy designer Matt Hiebert of aroundsquare.
The Twig brings wooden block sets to a whole new level. These blocks are not only bright and bold, they are various shapes, including 3-dimensional cubes. Each sleek piece is designed to fit in and on other parts. Made of natural wood, the Twig set features varying size squares and circles with clean lines that entice kids to build higher, and play longer. Each precision piece has been cut to fit together; the possibilities are endless with this 72-piece building set.
Beautiful packaging and simplistic and artful designs are a wonderful respite from cold plastic action figures and flashing lights. This building set is a steal with MSRP $49.99.
Other Fat Brain Toys include Dando Squares, the 1-dimensional offshoot of the Dando Cubes; Brain Food, a putty substance infused with vibrant metallic colors; and The Learning Calendar. Fat Brain continues to develop new and exciting toys that expand kids’ minds.
All toys are CPSIA compliant. For more information about The Twig and the rest of the Fat Brain Toy line visit www.FatBrainToyCo.com.
