A Monkey for the People - Two Sisters Designs

Creating bunches of fun and funky notecards, calendars and T-shirts, Two Sisters Designs touts the unique tagline, “a monkey for the people.” What does it mean? One theory suggests that these two grown-up siblings monkeyed around with art and graphics until they produced a family of products that make people go bananas! There’s a third sister swinging in this family tree too. She confides that before they were drawn to graphic design, one of her two sisters was a curly-haired girl scout while the other was a tomboy bouncing around the basketball court. Monkeyshines run in the family!

You’ll find proof of that in the wildly colorful designs on Two Sisters’ toddler and infant T-shirts and one-pieces (bibs, too!). All bear whimsical, screen-printed animal graphics in a menagerie of friendly and highly-stylized forms. Garments are printed with non-toxic inks that are safe for children to wear and rendered in a form that is safe to wash without images chipping or fading.

One-pieces and toddler T-shirts are all white Precious Cargo brand garments of 100% cotton The one-pieces are sized for 6 to 18 months. Tees are available in sizes 2T, 3T and 4T. Each retails for $18.50, available in four different animal motifs. Consumers will most definitely recognize abstractions representing the “Monkeys” — mostly mouthy and wide-eyed funny faces on heads with ears. “3 Birds” is a clutch of three gloriously gaudy birds stacked in graduated order and depicted as acrobats performing high shoulder-stands on an egg. “Quack,” a duck with high-frequency brainwaves, goes rolling along in a two-wheeled wagon, while “Wheelie” … well, Wheelie defies definition, although he, she, or “it” is clearly a fortuitous blend of animal and wheeled conveyance.

Customers will find these garments of child-safe fabrics, inks, and gifted graphics ideal shower gifts. Matching bibs are available, as well. “Monkeys,” “3-Birds” and more also appear on grown-up T-shirts, and the collection includes note cards, calendars and bookmarks.
