Anthem of the Ants Marches to its Own Beat

Anthem of the Ants is a well-loved girl’s clothing company creating vintage style garments for sizes 12 months to 12 years, all designed and manufactured in Los Angeles. Created by designer Lynn Keyes in 2010, the line was born from her love of denim and a desire to create items as unique and individual as the girls who wear them. Inspired from decades past and with attention to every detail, wash finish, buttons and trims; Anthem of the Ants crafts a well-made product combining vintage elements and silhouettes with a sophisticated, modern perspective.

Lynn creates pieces that will impact today’s modern girls the same way she was shaped by her favorite clothes growing up. “I love mixing fabrics and using denim in unexpected ways to get soft shapes and fullness — creating pretty pieces that are comfortable and easy to wear. I think that idea really captures the spirit of AOTA.” Lynn resides in Los Angeles, and is constantly inspired by her two girls who collaborate with her on style, color and fit.

Anthem of the Ants is very excited about their Fall 2012 Collection and will be unveiling new styles and fabrics. The Mary Jane Sweatshirt with printed ladylike collar is warm, comfortable, great for play and pairs well with the Cooper Slim Cord available in great fall colors.

The Café Dress is available in the very popular feather print, forest print or cardinal plaid. The dress can be accented with the available Fur Collarette.

The Francis Bow Top, available in two solid colors and navy stripe, is perfect to pair with the Darling Skirt available in three prints. Ruffle front dresses and jerseys are fun and not too fancy.

Anthem of the Ants is proud and pleased about their collaboration with local home goods design company, Wolfum, on Puff Sleeve Popover tops in Aztec and Triangle prints.

Anthem of the Ants uses all water base inks and dyes, and chooses organic cottons whenever possible. They manufacture locally with all of their contractors right in Los Angeles. While prices might be higher to producing their clothing in the United States, they are able to manufacture a higher quality product in a more streamlined process, and it also greatly reduces their global carbon footprint.
