Carpe Tempus: Seize the Time with Seez-It Labels
Does anything waste time quite like looking for stuff? Losing your keys at home is frustrating, but manageable: no one except the family sees you hunting (again!) and finding them under the couch. But the frustration of searching for items in public is a nightmare. The shame and humiliation of being “that lady” in line, breathlessly sorting through a bulky purse to find the checkbook is enough to make you want to stay home.
Or how about the busy father heading off to work, who drops his children off at grandma’s? Poor grandma is left with the doubtful pleasure of combing through a massive diaper bag full of pins, bottles, toys, and wipes, looking for a pacifier for an unhappy toddler. A Gallup poll showed that the most pressed for time are working women and parents, who would probably love to have a sure-fire way to stay organized throughout the day. Seez-It Labels are a great way to stay organized, save time, and stay sane.
Cynthia Strauss’s melee with chemotherapy brought about the concept for Addicks Enterprises’s Seez-It labeling system. After a desperate search through her bag for an important card, Cynthia realized that things would be better with labels. Soon, she found that many others agreed –– Addicks Enterprises LLC earned first prize from the 2012 Queens Economic Development Council business plan contest and was a finalist in the National Stationery Show Best Product competition.
The labels are all made in the U.S.A. of a unique high-quality material with an adhesive backing, making it possible to remove and place the labels in another location, if needed. The labels can be attached to a variety of fabrics, leather, and vinyl. With black lettering on a white background, the labels are easy on the eyes and the font size is large enough so there’s no straining. At 2”x 1.5”, each label is big enough to notice but small enough to blend seamlessly into the bag.
Some of the tags included in the 16-label Diaper Bag set are “bib”, “bottle”, “dirty things”, “face wipes”, “pacifier”, and “wipes”. The set also includes two blank tags for miscellaneous items. The Handbag set includes 16 tags, including “change,” “checkbook,” “keys,” “mp3 player,” and “phone.” The sets are all very affordable, and would make great give-aways at the office or little pick-me-ups for busy parents, caregivers, and nannies.
