Archimede Swimwear Helps Make Sun and Swim Safer
Spring break and summer vacations can be extra sweet with Archimede. This Belgian brand is recognized as a swimwear and beachwear specialist for children 3 months to 12 years old. Archimede is most known for the Buoyancy Swimsuit — a foam-based swimsuit that allows children to float while also allowing for enough movement for them to really learn to swim. This suit is safe, but also versatile, because the foam parts can be removed as kids get more secure in the water. While the features of Archimede suits are designed to ensure equilibrium, they aren’t sacrificing pure play. We might be wrong, but we think Cameleon Red Maillot Bouée translates to “OMG Cute Chameleon”! There’s also Boris Maillot Bouée Protection UV, a longer sleeve fuller coverage buoyancy suit. These UV protection suits are made from polyamide/Lycra treated with SPF 50+ and have been developed in collaboration with dermatologists. These models are available either as a one-piece sunsuit or a T-shirt.
For the lasses who need a little more layering, the Alize Maillot Double Protection covers more on the top and bottom to stave off the sun. A detachable knicker will knock their socks off. Double Protection suits replace those bulky swim diapers required at beaches and pools. Made from soft cotton on the inside and a waterproof fabric on the outside, these suits are treated to fight bacteria. Totally anallergic, they also dry quickly to stop smells. Waterproof and very comfortable, this double protection is indispensable for new swimmers. These diapers can be used with or without protection as a child’s toilet training progresses.
While cautious is cute, the itsy bitsy Alize red polka dot bikini is not to be missed. It’s almost too cute to cover up, if it weren’t for the matching accessories like tops, bloomers, caps, and even quick-dry shoes for those rocky shores and hot pavements.
Beyond buoyancy, Archimede has more standard fare in adorable characters and graphics, including fish, flowers and starfish. The Anti-Chlore Maillot swimming trunks dry very quickly and feature small rivets that help avoid the dreaded balloon effect. The line of Anti-Chlore suits feature high chlorine resistance for longer wear and include UV protection.
In addition to the Buoyancy Suit, Archimede has launched several other innovative products for children, ranging from water shoes to sunglasses. Float on over to http://eshop.archimede.be/ for some wonderful wading gear.
