Three Bears Hair Bows are Just Right for Little Girls
Caring for a little girl’s hair is a part of parenthood that can sound like either a joy or a chore, depending upon who you ask. Some parents find it to be an intimate time of bonding where they share beauty secrets and conversation. Others will say that it’s an experience that begins with begging and cajoling and ends with great relief. The type of experience depends upon the parent’s and child’s personality, the child’s hair type, and of course, the tools used. At the very minimum, you’ll need a bottle of detangling product, a good strong comb, and some clips, ponytail holders or barrettes. Accessories are what make the magic happen for a little girl’s hair style, and even those who don’t enjoy having their hair combed can appreciate the appeal of a good “clippy”. For some girls, collecting hair clips is practically a hobby. The youth fashion stores and kiosks at the mall are favorite places for these youngsters, and many parents are bombarded with the familiar refrain of “Oooh, can I have it? Pleeaase??”
While fancy hair clips are fun to buy, they can run a few dollars more than many moms and dads are comfortable with paying. Florida mom Nabetsi Torres and her friends found this to be true, and they wanted to do something about it. In 2010, Nabetsi founded Three Bears Hair Bows, a company that sells reasonably-priced hair bows that are as cute as anything you’ll find in stores.
One of the great things about Three Bears products is that many of them have a unique, hand-crafted look. Kids can choose from artsy interpretations of their favorite TV and movie characters, teddy bears, princesses, animals and more. There are also more mainstream hair bows, including fancy boutique bows, streamer ponytail holders, and “korkers”, the curly gift-ribbon style bows worn for cheerleading.
Babies have their own category of hair accessories. Babies have fine hair and are often fussy about clips and bows that are too tight or rough on their sensitive scalps. Three Bears Hair Bows offers crocheted baby hats and headbands. Moms can attach bows to the soft bands so that little ones can be both comfortable and stylish.
In the coming months, the company is working on sets that include matching hair bows and gumball necklaces. Stay on top of what’s going on at Three Bears at www.threebearshairbows.com
