Sado is Vintage Inspired Fashion for Today’s Girls

Sado Inc. is a vintage inspired clothing line for girls 12 months to 10 years. It is a mix-and-match line full of unique fabrics, ruffles and trims. It has a natural feel that is still fun and girly. Sado Inc. just released a women’s line too, so now mothers and daughters can dress alike. Owner Samantha Miller speaks on Sado’s success: “I feel like moms have been looking for a casual clothing line that can be worn on a daily basis, but is different from what you find at big box stores. Sado Inc. is unique, comfortable, affordable and lovely on every level.”

Each season the line gains followers and fans as more stores bring their line into their mix. But still their greatest marketing tool, Miller says, is seeing the apparel: “I know that whenever my girls are out on the town wearing Sado Inc. we always have people wanting to know what brand it is and where we got it.”

Miller herself is the sole designer at Sado. She starts by finding the fabrics, colors and trims that inspire her. Then she says, “Sometimes I try and sketch out my ideas, but I much prefer just sitting down at my sewing machine and stitching it out myself. I always make my first samples and then have my manufacturers help me from there.” Currently they work with a supplier in the U.S.A., as well as overseas. Sado Inc. also has an in-house manufacturing team.

For their Spring/ Summer 2014 season their maxi dresses were a huge hit. “Maxi dresses on little toddler is absolutely adorable,” gushes Miller. One of her other favorites is the screen printed t-shirts that are easy to pair with anything.
