NumbersAlive! Explores the Wonders of Numbers
School is back in session and some of that summer brain drain is showing up in full force. As kids struggle to adjust to new schedules and schools, your store can help bring them back to basics with NumbersAlive! After more than 30 years of working with and teaching about numbers, Dr. Rebecca Klemm (a.k.a “The Numbers Lady”) founded NumbersAlive!, an innovative framework for demystifying numbers and math. Presented as fun and friendly characters rather than complicated facts and figures, numbers come alive outside of math in areas like art, science, architecture, sports, nature, culture, and folklore. Teachable and touchable, NumbersAlive! are soft plush numbers to enchant children through books, games and now digital applications. NumbersAlive! packages this creative, universal learning concept in two brands. Team Ten® (numbers 0-9), led by Zero the Hero, accompanies The Numbers Lady and children on innovative, interpersonal, and interactive global education quests. They discover numerical applications and develop concepts of the scientific method. The STEM Squad® focuses on higher-level math and science concepts led by the character Pi.
For the digital native generation, NumbersAlive! launched their first accompanying educational app. “Hello Numbers” is a free early-learning app that introduces children to number knowledge in an exciting and novel way and takes them on a journey to discover numerals as their friends. The app is designed to accompany the award-winning “Hello Numbers Discovery Pack”, with the Hello Numbers book unlocking a special feature on the app. Kids can use the physical decoder that came with the book to uncover new journeys and information.
NumbersAlive! can grow with children, including great gift ideas in milestone birthdays with age-related cards, t-shirts, and plush pillows. Planning a holiday travel display? The NumbersAlive! Washington, DC book features Team Ten exploring the city. Each number showcases a favorite location linked to its numerical personality. The book’s visual vocabulary focuses on number applications in everyday life (city sites, sports, history) and encourages children to discover the joy of math.Cater to teachers with room elements like the World Numbers Poster. This award-winning, unique poster displays the diversity of how numbers are written in 70 languages from all around the globe. Terrific for both the classroom and at home, the bright colors and rich content appeal to all ages, and one can even feel the Braille embossed on the poster.
