Nurture with na2ure
Given today’s educational climate, many shoppers want a fun way to encourage kids’ interest in science, but so many games on the market are ultra-complicated and few appeal to all ages and generations. There’s a new brand, na2ure, bringing games that are gorgeous to behold, PhD-vetted and eco-conscious –– a triple positive whammy. The na2ure library includes three beautifully designed games that will fascinate your customers: the Ani-gram-it board game, Ani-gram-it To Go and ferret. The Ani-gram-it board game, for ages 8 and up, uses colorful, high-res photos that invite players to “build” animals using tiles of animal body parts…. a sort of animalistic riff on that classic, Scrabble. An “eye” tile could be part of a tiger, bird, fish or toad as players can either build new animals on each turn or expand on those already played. The game encourages appreciation of the beauty of the animal kingdom and is a work of visual art. And, it’s fun to play!
The To Go version, for ages 5 and up, is similar to the board game but in miniature so it can be played on a table, the grass, a picnic blanket or anywhere else when families are on the go. Very young kids enjoy learning to name animal body parts and recognize different animals even before they can fully play along with older sibs or other kids.
ferret, a nod to today’s technology for ages 5 and up and a winner in Digital Experience, Mobile at the 2014 NYC Design Awards, is designed for an iPad, free on the App Store with an opportunity to buy additional animals. Each tap or swipe leads to new discoveries as kids gain an understanding of the way animal pals are classified.
The na2ure concept comes from the inventive minds of Rhode Island School of Design-trained Alex Wolf and Dr. Vijal Parikh, a Cornell neurobiologist. Armed with the mission of creating tools for science play to inspire and enlighten future scientists and nature lovers, they have come up with games that kids love and parents applaud. These are puzzles like no others in that they’re a ton of fun, gorgeous to behold and highly educational. Teachers, parents and grandparents will give these games a very high five, so make the most of a super shopping experience by displaying all three versions.
