Children's Club In New York City Wraps A Packed Fall Preview

New York, NY (March 17, 2009) ENK International held the Fall Edition of the Children’s Club at the Javits Center in New York City from March 8-10, 2009. The show was home to 810 collections representing over 15 countries, including collections from France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Peru and Israel, to name a few. Top US showrooms were also a strong force at the show, offering buyers one- stop shopping and the opportunity to see exactly where the overall market is heading.

The Children’s Club attracted retailers from all over the United States and abroad. Major retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdales crowded the aisles with regional boutiques such as Fred Segal, Denny’s, Lester’s, Bergstrom’s, and Rugged Bear. Elyse Kroll, Chairman of ENK International commented, “Traffic was solid all three days and the mood of the retailers and the exhibitors was upbeat. One of the key factors to the success of the Children’s Club is the diversity of the exhibitors and the product categories they represent. Walking the aisles, buyers could find everything from Layette to key Tween Brands and then finish off their buying with top shoe collections, including Naturino and Primigi Italy, and key accessories such as sun glasses, hair accessories and home décor items.”

The Children’s Club was also the site for the twice annual ENK/VOGUE BAMBINI Runway show, a highly anticipated event which features top names from the Children’s Wear industry on the runway. Brands featured in this yea’rs catwalk included Baby Phat Girlz by Kimora Lee Simmons, Bonnnie Young, Buzz Basics, Diesel, DKNY, Hudson Jeans, Kate Mack, Kissy Kissy, Miki House, Monnalisa, Phat Farm Boys, Snopea and Zutano. The show was hugely successful and attracted both print and television coverage from domestic and international press.
