October is one of the biggest ENK Children’s Club events of the year, so there are hundreds of brands to discover. Snapping Turtle Kids Swimwear is Easy on Beach Babes
Kimberly Goodwin is a mother who saw a need and came up with a brilliant solution. As a first time mom, Kimberly was perplexed on a trip to the beach with her 3-month-old daughter. She could not understand why bathing suits did not have snaps to facilitate easy diaper changes and was dismayed trying to get her child back in a damp suit afterward. Knowing there had to be a better way, she embarked on a mission and Snapping Turtle Kids was conceived.
Snapping Turtle Kids prides itself on designing swimwear and accessories to make a parent’s job smooth sailing. Their collections feature stainless steel snaps for swimsuits and 100% cotton terry cloth for beach cover-ups and hats. Each collection is inspired by their favorite vacation spots across the country.
The Capri Collection features four coordinating pieces. There are 2 swimsuit styles: a one-shoulder suit or a Capri ruffle suit with lots of frills, adjustable shoulder straps and two rows of snaps. A white organic cotton cover-up with ruffled trim that matches the vibrant orange and pink of the swim suits keeps little ones warm and protected from the sun. The Capri hat rounds out the collection and keeps the sun off baby’s head in soft organic cotton that is reversible to reveal the Capri print.
The Southhampton Collection features the same four designs, but in a stylish navy color with bright gold anchors. Other collections include Palm Beach, Sea Island, Malibu and Nantucket.
A large canvas tote to carry the essentials and wet suit bags to prevent everything from becoming a soggy mess are so convenient. Fashion and function are what it’s all about.

XOLO Shoes Are Mixed, Not Matched
Pam Val, owner of Pam Grace Creations, spent several successful years designing baby and children’s bedding. She enjoyed creating bedding and room décor in a wide range of colors and patterns designed to let every child feel at home in their own space. Pam felt it should not end with room décor and bedding, but should include children’s footwear and accessories too. She knew that kids were often told “no” when they attempted to dress creatively and she wanted to give parents a chance to tell their children, “Yes, you can wear mismatched shoes!”
Starting with toddlers’ slip-ons that coordinate rather than match, XOLO Shoes are designed to be the reverse of each other. Easy on and off, bright colors, groovy prints, preppy prints and even a few university styles make these shoes a toddler fashion statement. Youth lace-ups are just as fun and also feature coordinating, reverse prints and colors.
Who says the fun has to end when you grow up? Certainly not XOLO, as their women’s lace-ups have the same coordinating, reverse fabric and prints that let moms kick it up a notch or two. Pull the look together with a fresh and funky XOLO backpack featuring fun prints, reinforced straps, multiple compartments and mesh pockets.
