Hollow Woodworks began in a barn in 1985 with a mission to provide high quality personalized name stools and puzzles. Classic name stools are handcrafted to order and come in different sizes. The regular size Classic Stool measures 9” x 12” x 8” high and holds one name, up to 8 letters; large size Classic Stool is 9” x 16” x 8” high and has room for one name, up to 12 letters long or 2 names, up to 10 letters each. A new extra-long size has recently been added that accommodates one name, up to 16 letters or 2 names, up to 14 letters each and measures 9” x 20” x 8” high.

The 2-Step Name Stool is designed for kids who want to reach higher and has a top step 11 inches from the ground, with a lower step to make climbing easier and safer. The top step flips up to reveal a secret storage space. Handles on the side assist with moving.

Hollow Woodworks’ newest version of their Classic Name Stool is the Flip Back Stool. The back converts the stool into a little chair or it can be flipped down as an additional step for the child.

A variety of themed designs are available for any of the three stool types and feature princess, sports, flowers, cars or trains. Customers can choose pastel or primary colors for the letters and natural or painted finishes for the stools. The custom stools require 2 to 4 weeks for handcrafting by the senior craftsmen of Hollow Woodworks.
