In our trend-centric world, it is vital to be flexible. What looked good on Thursday can feel old-hat by the following Monday, so products that can be re-imagined are bound to have a following. With write-on/wipe off duvet covers and pillowcases from Doodle by Stitch, changeable hair personality via Infinity Bands and Flying Buttress handbags that can take on a new persona with a simple panel snap, making changes is part of the game. Life is never dull when styles can easily be updated, giving accessories a new look and enabling girls to be totally “with it” in ways to suit themselves and their ever-changing personalities.

No matter the age, French girls traditionally define their identities through their unique style of clothing. In that spirit, designer Marilyn Tov brings the French tradition to girls’ fashion, ensuring that lasting comfort is met with grace and beauty. Growing up in Paris, she recalls an idyllic childhood of easy-going shopping on Saturdays, followed by bike rides along the Seine. What she recalls of the clothing she wore during her Parisian playtimes is comfortable elegance and that embodies her 2013 namesake collection.

Delta is exactly the kind of company that retailers want to partner with: a strong record of great products and a stellar approach to people

Kalulu bursts onto the market with a vibrant children’s wear collection inspired by the colors and traditions of East Africa. The line is made entirely out of kikoy cloth, a bold cotton fabric traditionally worn by men in the region as sarongs. Kikoys mix and match complementary and contrasting hues, creating plaid and striped patterns. Kalulu employs this fabric on easy-to-wear silhouettes that are both age-appropriate and eye-catching for girls and boys sizes 2T to 10. The Kalulu line is made in the United States.

The inspiration for Fohawx was a seven-year-old boy named Alex who refused to wear his bike helmet because it wasn’t “cool.” In an attempt to make the helmet hip, his crafty sister Maya took the helmet to embellish it a bit. When she returned the helmet it had tissue paper glued to it, creating a faux Mohawk and dredlocks. Alex thought it was definitely rad and had no problem wearing it. The experience inspired mom Jocelyn Fine to begin experimenting with prototypes that eventually became Fohawx, a unique line of decorative appliqués for bike helmets.

The tween market can be a little hard to nail down: tweens are moving beyond the childlike toys and behaviors they are used to, but still not quite ready for the almost-grown-up style of older teens. Retailers need to be wary of coming off as too cutesy or way too sophisticated. Kids in this group tend to be very creative. Edgy, fun, yet practical accessories and designs all make for happy families. The best in tween products combine individualism with creativity, and the lines from Nail Candy, Shwings, and Tractor bring customers back for more.

The best way to really get kids to learn something is to make it fun and creative! Just a quick search on the Internet shows that most great educational products for children are geared for maximum fun and ingenuity. Developing stories or thinking out plans help children’s brains in ways that rote memorization cannot. Companies which provide fun and energizing educational solutions garner adult support and kid adoration. The innovative creators at The MU – Microcosmic Universe are part of the vanguard in developing tempting toys that stimulate the brain.

Some parents take it for granted that they can go into a toy store and buy whatever their child wants. Parents of special needs children know it’s never that easy, and retailers who carry toys and clothing for their child’s specific needs can foster a valuable customer relationship to last a lifetime. A few examples of all-inclusive products include Pocket Frenz for children who need something small and tangible to get them through the day; Fun and Function toys, games and apparel; Soft Clothing’s seamless, tagless apparel for children who find regular clothes irritating; and WorryWoos for children who have trouble processing emotions.
