A little weekend fun :)

We have finally gotten together our first blog giveaway! All you have to do is pick your favorite Pediped/No Slippy Hair Clippy to enter yourself to win that very clip! We recently collaborated with an innovative new company called Pediped whose children’s shoes have become the hottest new thing in children’s footwear. To learn more about our collaboration, read my previous blog entry: Please choose your favorite from one of these adorable clips below and pick the corresponding letter in the poll form to the right.

We have had the very best experience with Larry Birkhead, the father of Dannielyn Birkhead who’s mother is the late Anna Nicole Smith. Larry has seen his share of hard times. The loss of the mother of his child, having to fight to get custody of the daughter that is rightfully his and now raising that little girl all on his own. He has triumphed over every obstacle valiantly and with the class of a man twice his age. We just love the way he dotes on little Dannielyn and the level headedness with which he brings to their relationship.

The new Baby Couture magazine arrived in today’s mail. (If you’ve never seen it - get a copy and you’ll understand why I love it so much. It’s like “Vogue” for kids!) Once again, they’ve featured BopStarBaby exclusive participants, and we are thrilled!
The Dropper Stopper™ (, one of the newest products in our collection, wraps around the bottom of a photo spread entitled “Bite Me.” It’s a bright, fun adjustable strap that can attach baby accessories to a stroller or carrier, and this is its debut in Baby Couture.

ABC has been the alpha-buzz at children’s apparel and gift shows over the last few years. There is interest, anticipation and a little mystery among children’s apparel manufacturers about the ABC Kids Expo, September 13 – 16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. ( I get asked more questions about the ABC Show than any other. Since JPMA discontinued its trade show a couple years ago, the ABC Kids Expo is currently the only national trade event designed especially for the juvenile products industry.

So amongst everything else going on I’ve decided to add another product into my line…these adorable mobiles. They are made out of eco-friendly wood that hang from a simple rod, which then hangs directly from the ceiling. I am offering them in pinks, yellow/greens, blues, and orange tones(not shown). They are available now in the shop.
Back to shipping orders…have a great day. Marnie V.

Coffee with the Mrs. is a blog written by a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom) named Amy. She is the mother of an adorable toddler, a little boy named Alex and is pregnant with a little girl who is due in November. Her blog is a place to “chat over coffee”. She writes about her life and amusing anecdotes but the main focus of her blog is given to reviews that she writes relating to all things baby. She has reviewed children’s movies, children’s clothing, glasses, etc…

This is one of my favorite times of year. It’s warm, beautiful and green outside and instead of going Back-to-School, I start Part II of my bi-annual trade show circuit. Current count: 2 down, 6 to go.

Trade show season is in my top 3 “Things I Love about my Job.” It starts with unpacking box after box of Spring 2010 samples and continues with meeting new clients, networking with colleagues and visiting beautiful cities all over the US. It’s crazy, it’s busy and I occasionally feel like I’ll never “get it all done” by October 31st but… I’m happily addicted to this time of year. We can always sleep in November, right?

What could be better than an adorable one of a kind No Slippy Hair Clippy? Why, a matching pair of shoes of course!! We are extremely excited to announce our collaboration with pediped™, an innovative company whose baby/children’s shoes are becoming wildly popular across the U.S. and Europe. An excerpt from the official press release:

The idea of going back to school isn’t as far fetched as we would like to think. It’s only the beginning of August, and back to school supplies and clothes have already hit the shelves. Excitement, sadness and feeling overwhelmed are just some of the emotions that come rushing back when the idea of starting school comes to mind. But don’t be fooled, these feelings affect you as parents, as well as the kids.
