The long, carefree days of summer have begun, with seemingly endless sunshine for outdoor fun. However, a few rainy days are always sprinkled in when families find themselves stuck indoors. Days of inclement weather provide the perfect opportunity for parents to bond with their kiddos, whether it be with lively board games, addictive puzzles, music-appreciation, or make-believe storytelling. The Giggle Guide® presents entertaining toys and games from Uncle Skunkle Toys, JOOJOO, House of Marbles and P’kolino, that keep kids learning and bring families together for a refresher course in focusing on fun!

Mixing rainy days with children can be a recipe for disaster. When kids are stuck indoors, they get antsy, loud, and BORED! Cooped up kids are dangerous to family health, as they push just the right buttons to drive parents crazy, or at least to distraction. Retailers to the rescue! Help families quickly cool down the kids’ cabin fever with entertaining products from The Little Experience, eebee, GIANTmicrobes, and Buckyballs. With a surplus of tedium tamers on hand, your business will be on your customers’ list of “fun places to go,” and they will happily spend extra time and money in your store.

Which charity, you ask? That’s for YOU to help us decide. Starting June 1, Shop Hop Productions launched their “Charity Select” contest.

Hudson’s June 2010 issue featured plenty of No Slippy Hair Clippy® in their urban chic “Keep Posted” fashion editorial. There’s a luscious red Kaia flower clip, a shocking pink Emily bow, a Makayla ladybug clip, and a fun turquoise Kaia clip, clipped to a purse. They’re the perfect counterpoint to this raw, gritty photo spread – like seeing fresh green shoots sprouting through cracks in the sidewalk.
