The Giggle Guide® asked 26 moms “What is one thing you think manufacturers of children’s products should know or consider changing? Our moms stood united on their soap boxes to broadcast their chief concerns for quality, durability and safety in children’s products. Even though The Giggle Guide® knows that most manufacturers in the children’s business share the same concerns, hearing the moms’ insightful and potent message is paramount.

The Treehouse Showroom traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada this week and visits “Kids Kastle” at Caesars Palace.
“Kids Kastle” was booming with customers flowing in and out. Bags filled, and smiling customers excited about the purchases they’d made. The store was filled with tutus, accessories, and designer brands, great job buyers! The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the brands they carry, and the check out process was a breeze.

  1. Make sure lenses block 99-100% UVA&UVB rays. Be wary of lens stickers that say “blocks UV” or “provides UV protection” without specifying the amounts.
  2. It is recommended that children wear lenses that are polycarbonate.
  3. Check sunglass frames to make sure they are of good quality and not a breakage or injury hazard. Understand that sunglasses are not “toys” or novelty items, but serve an important health function-protecting precious eyes.

Lisa Malcic’s seven-year-old son may have some explaining to do when, down the road, his friends discover he was both the inspiration behind, and model for, the revolutionary Pee-pee Teepee.

My poor son, he’ll have to have Pee-pee Teepee therapy,” joked Malcic, who created the amusing spout guard about seven years ago in response to the diaper-changing dilemma encountered by many parents of newborn boys. Every time Malcic and her husband took off their son’s diaper, he immediately peed on them before they could get the next one on.

The religious ceremonies of an infant christening, baptism, blessing, bris, or naming ceremony are traditional rites of spiritual initiation for baby, and shared celebrations for families. Baby’s white gown symbolizes purity, joy and new life, and is often treasured and saved as a family heirloom. In 1984, Little Thing Mean a Lot founder, Cindy Pack, recognized the importance of providing a touch of grace and beauty in the apparel that is an important part of a baby’s special religious occasions.
