Children love creative play that imitates the activities they see Mom and Dad perform — like cooking! For generations, little chefs have dished up everything from mud pies to elaborate tea parties using realistic, make-believe toys. Kitchen play sets deliver an educational recipe for fun times that allows children to pretend they can cook, just like grown-ups! The Giggle Guide® has found some products to help kids cook up all kinds of make-believe adventures with pretend goodies! Add HaPe, Guidecraft and KidKraft to your retail product menus!

Did you know there is an estimated 5-6 billion pounds of pre-consumer cotton remnants being thrown into our landfills every year? Fortunately, as a nation, we are becoming more and more environmentally aware. Today we recycle our bottles and cans, plastic containers and cardboard — but isn’t there more we can do? Is it possible to recycle or re-use fashion? Yes there is, and yes you can! Here are some children’s wear companies that are making this change for the better, through passion and innovation.

Just thought I send a Holiday Greeting of Ba Humgug! to the Postal worker who stole four shipments of art two weeks ago from me. And to the Postal Service as well who completely acts oblivious to it all. My items were even insured and had tracking. And this is their answer, ” Well…we just can’t locate them.” “We will contact you when they are found.” Yeah right!

Just what I need when I’m preparing for a solo Hawk show next week.
Have a great day!

We have another lovely review and this time it’s from MomViews.net. It’s a site that is dedicated to smart parenting and smart shopping and features news and reviews on the latest items in the market for your family, including some really neat baby gear and baby items.

This was actually written months ago, but I just had to share it with you! The review goes:

When Carol Yenne’s grandson was born prematurely, weighing only 2 lbs 11 oz, this San Francisco granny realized it was time to make hard-to-find preemie outfits readily available for other families. At her store, Small Frys, she now offers a variety of sweet clothing collections, designed for babies weighing 2 pounds and up. The preemie collections are from Coccoli, Kissy Kissy Preemie, Petite Bateau and Le Top. At Small Frys, they know that when babies come early, having comforting little outfits can make a big difference.

Premature infants benefit from an extra special dose of tender love and care, as well as some unique products to help with their special needs. In honor of Prematurity Awareness Month, and the The March of Dimes’ efforts, The Giggle Guide® recognizes the following companies who offer products designed to help small infants, with special attention to the needs of preemies: Mommy’s Little Helpers, Comfort Silkie,Itzy Ritzy, TummyTubs and AvaBaby’s.

Kids say the silliest, funniest things, don’t they? I believe that one of the many perks of being a parent is the entertainment that kids provide when they innocently attempt to understand the world around them. Ever wondered how their little minds understand LOVE? Here are some quotes that cracked me up and made me go awww:

What is love?

I think you’re supposed to get shot with an arrow or something, but the rest of it isn’t supposed to be so painful.”

Finding children’s products manufactured in the United States can be difficult. Luckily, the book Made Here, Baby!, by Bruce H. Wolk, does exactly that. The Giggle Guide® found five companies featured in the book that have been operating in the United States for more than 100 years: Fexible Flyer, Amana Woolen Mill, The Original American Kazoo Company, Johnson Woolen Mills and Whitney Brothers.

You can always tell when Christmas is around the corner. Somehow the atmosphere turns cheery and everyone seems to have a joyful air about them. While it’s still 40+ days away, I seem to be getting gifts early this year.

I recently read a wonderful review from lovely mom Christine, of The IE Mommy, who wrote about how much she and her twin girls adore No Slippy Hair Clippy Headbands! http://hairclippy.com/shop_headbands.asp

Here’s an excerpt of what she had to say:
