“You have a gifted imagination,” is a praise-worthy complement that young children used to hear a lot from teachers and parents. Before the current home computer, video gaming, and iPod revolution, generations of kids were inspired by dawn-to-dusk outdoor neighborhood adventures and creative play with blocks, models, “army” men, tea parties, crafts and board games. Enthusiastic about these “good ole’ days” of playtime powered by active imaginations, Lisa Pearce and Wendy Scarbrough, both kids at heart, opened their Gifted Imaginations store last year. The store is a kid’s dream playroom filled with traditional wooden toys, puzzles, games and more.

The Treehouse Showroom” ran into Grammy Award Winning R&B singer, Johnny Gill and his son Isaiah Gill shopping for cool clothes at “Premier Kids” on June 2, 2010. Johnny and his son were having a wonderful time picking out shirts, jeans and accessories. Little Isaiah Gill was just adorable, and Johnny a proud father, let Isaiah pick out whatever he wanted. Johnny told me that he likes the selection of suits for kids “Premier Kids” has to offer.

We are so thrilled that our dear friends at Earnshaw’s Magazine has featured No Slippy Hair Clippy’s Clipettes in their April/May 2010 issue!

Clipettes is our newest line of mini clips. They may be adorably small in size, but we definitely did not scrimp on quality for these babies! Each mini clip (1 3/4-inch) is fully lined in grosgrain, including the pinch area. This ensures that you still get our promise of a non-slip clip Shocked)

Plus, they come in lovely designs (I’m loving the leopard and zebra prints!) and retail at only $2.95.

The Treehouse Showroom traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada this week and visits “Kids Kastle” at Caesars Palace.
“Kids Kastle” was booming with customers flowing in and out. Bags filled, and smiling customers excited about the purchases they’d made. The store was filled with tutus, accessories, and designer brands, great job buyers! The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the brands they carry, and the check out process was a breeze.

Bubbly children sporting bright, brilliant colors and dazzling fabrics are like rays of sunshine, generating energy and contagious, electrifying smiles. No one knows this chain reaction better than Brooklyn-based children’s apparel designer, Jenny Kim, who loves to mix and match colorful fabrics and prints in her fashion makeover of overalls for infants and toddlers. Her spirited Overall Baby crackles with snappy style and overall originality! Overall Baby has got it all goin’ on with bright colors and funky-fun fabrics, combined with the traditional comfort and long-lasting durability of dungarees.

The religious ceremonies of an infant christening, baptism, blessing, bris, or naming ceremony are traditional rites of spiritual initiation for baby, and shared celebrations for families. Baby’s white gown symbolizes purity, joy and new life, and is often treasured and saved as a family heirloom. In 1984, Little Thing Mean a Lot founder, Cindy Pack, recognized the importance of providing a touch of grace and beauty in the apparel that is an important part of a baby’s special religious occasions.
